LAKE DILLON SURNRISE

The colors of a Colorado sky at sunrise are truly breathtaking. I took this image with one of my photography students in early summer. It required climbing up the mountain in the freezing darkness carrying our equipment, always looking out for critters. Once our cameras were mounted to tripods, we waited in silence for the first bit of colorful light to appear over the mountains. Too cold to speak, we just looked at each other and smiled as our efforts were rewarded in a wonderful display of soft color.
